Mark Hopper, M.A., M.S. 

Mark Hopper grew up in Kansas City, MO but settled in the Upstate of South Carolina after completing college and graduate school locally.  Since founding Hopper Financial with his wife in 2015, he has been passionate about the daily opportunities he is given to help professionals and their families Plan for Good and achieve financial balance, clarity, and confidence.  He is a strong believer in the Living Balance Sheet planning process, having seen it consistently lead to clients being more financially organized, more optimally protected against risk, understanding how to be better savers, and having a plan to address debt and taxes efficiently without sacrificing other important financial objectives.  Mark also enjoys working with business owners, leading them through a planning process that positions them to protect, grow, and exit their business on their terms.  

Mark currently serves his neighbors as an elected member of Greer City Council, representing the residents of council district 3 since January 2020.  He is a graduate of Leadership Greer (class XXXIV), the South Carolina Economic Development Institute (SCEDI), the Municipal Elected Officials Institute of Government, and the Advanced Elected Officials Institute of Government.  He serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce (currently as Immediate Past Chair), on the Public Policy Committee of the Greater Greer Chamber, on the Board of Directors of the Foothills Philharmonic, and is a charter member and past president of the Greer Centennial Lions Club in Greer, SC.  In the past, he has served on the Board of Advisors of both the Greer Station Association and the Greater Greer Chamber, on the Leadership Development Council of the Greater Greer Chamber, as Zone 5 Chair of District 32-S for Lions Clubs International/South Carolina Lions, and as a member of the City of Greer Planning Commission.
